　　鹿鼎记韦小宝和苏菲亚的故事
　　《鹿鼎记》第三十六回中，描写了主人公韦小宝与罗刹国公主苏菲亚之间的一段奇遇。先是韦小宝在雅克萨城阴差阳错地遇到了苏菲亚，随即被后者带到了莫斯科，并由此引发了一段异国情缘。后来，凭着听书看戏学来的谋略，韦小宝竟然帮助他的这位金发碧眼的情人成为了罗刹国摄政女王。
　　这场浪漫的跨国艳遇当然纯属虚构，但苏菲亚这个人物却不是空穴来风，她的原型就是俄国历史上赫赫有名的女摄政索菲娅公主（1657年1704年）。抛开小说中虚构和戏说的成分，回头再看索菲娅的真实故事，其曲折惊险的程度，丝毫不输于金庸先生的生花妙笔。
　　谎称皇子被杀，索菲娅公主煽动御林军造反索菲娅公主是沙皇阿列克谢一世的女儿。阿列克谢一世子女众多，奇怪的是，儿子个个体质虚弱，女儿却都体格健壮。他的头5个儿子中，3个早夭，太子费奥多尔患有坏血症，小皇子伊凡不仅体弱，智力也远逊于他人。
　　所幸的是，续娶的新皇后娜塔利娅给老沙皇生了个健康的儿子，取名彼得，他就是后来俄罗斯帝国的一代名君彼得大帝。
　　苏菲亚和小宝
　　苏菲亚和小宝之间，最谈不上爱情二字，只是本能野性的彼此需要，新鲜和有趣的刺激，完事之后一拍两散，互不相欠，只算是曾经拥有，多了一段奇异的经验和回忆。
　　以小宝这样伦理道德观念极不严肃之人，和苏菲亚最是能合拍。两人都无所顾忌，没有良心的犯罪感和自我谴责的情结。小宝亦可算是至人无我，他对双儿绝不会这样，也绝不敢这样，对苏菲亚则是无所谓了。
　　罗刹人的弱智和思维简单，被夸张到好笑的地步。小宝这样一个只是胸中有几部评书的底子的不学无术的流氓无赖，居然出谋划策，给苏菲亚作军师当参谋，建立奇功，改写其民族历史，小宝的官场厚黑学这一国粹可以放之四海而皆准了。
　　小宝对付罗刹鬼子、鬼女，所用的法宝大致有如下几条：
　　其一，千穿万穿，马屁不穿。罗刹人，尤其是罗刹女人，最吃马屁这套，要听好话奉承话，愈是幼稚，愈是恬不知耻，愈是没有逻辑，愈能收到奇效，说得天花乱坠，让其发昏。
　　其二，银子可以使鬼推磨。罗刹人最爱钱，最贪财，区区十余万两银子，使苏菲亚抱住小宝连连亲吻。罗刹人，尤其是罗刹女人，最便宜，值不了多少银子。
　　其三，胆大的吓死胆小的。苏菲亚回莫斯科后遇到背叛被软禁，火枪手们凶横不可一世，苏菲亚只有捶胸顿脚号啕大哭的份。小宝人虽小，武功也不高，但一招制住了火枪营队长，匕首一比，作势要杀人，火枪营队长立刻魂飞天外，由此局面易势。罗刹鬼子外强中干，其实胆怯懦弱之极。
　　其四，不仅威逼，还要利诱。小宝控制局面后，教了苏菲亚抢钱抢女人五字真言，果然应验如神，罗刹兵立即反正，杀人放火起来。罗刹鬼子的本性，实与土匪的低级欲望没什么差别。
　　其五，挂羊头卖狗肉，推出挡箭牌。小宝教苏菲亚的摄政王之法，虚名无所谓，关键是实权。小沙皇做了幌子，诸人的既得利益却可以完全保证，苏菲亚才是垂帘听政的主宰人物。
