儒林外史荀玫是怎样的人如何从好人变坏的

　　荀玫是儒林外史中最耀眼而又陨落的非常可惜的一个人物，其主要出现在小说的第七回中，在第二十二、二十九等回之中也都有提及。描述的文字虽然不多，但其人物形象塑造的非常经典。
　　刚刚出场时，荀玫还只是个七岁的孩童，不到二十岁就考中了秀才，并且是名列第一。第二年录科又考了第一，参加乡试也顺利一次性通过，到京城参加会试又考了个第三名进士。真可谓是英雄出少年，少年得志，春风得意马蹄疾。
　　殿试过后，荀玫位列二甲，年纪轻轻就被授予了工部主事一职，还能得到周进、范进等恩师的照顾。不久后，就升任为工部员外；没过多少年，又升任为御史；在第二十二回再提及荀玫时，他已升任为两淮盐运使司盐运使。此时的荀玫，仕途一帆风顺、连连升迁，登上了人生巅峰。
　　然而等到二十九回时，通过他人谈论提及荀玫，才得知其已因贪赃被抓。荀玫终究还是没有经受着诱惑。
　　至于为什么荀玫会走上贪污受贿这条道路？直接看来就是，身处两淮盐运使司盐运使的肥差上，诱惑太大，所以贪污受贿了。如果追根溯源的话，还是能够找到一丝蛛丝马迹，可以说与王惠有很大的关系。
　　一、百般笼络荀玫，拉其入伙
　　当荀玫和王惠两人同榜考中进士后，王惠就开始百般拉拢荀玫。
　　第七回写到：荀进士叫长班抬开公座，自己迎了出去。只见王惠须发皓白，走进门，一把拉着手说道：年长兄，我同你是‘天作之合’，不比寻常同年弟兄。不瞒年长兄说，弟还有一碗饭吃，京里房子也是我自己买的，年长兄竟搬到我那里去住，将来殿试，一切事都便宜些。
　　当年在周进面前，身为举人的王惠还大肆嘲笑说自己怎么可能和一个七岁的孩童同时考中进士，如今梦真的灵验了。王惠还真与荀玫同时考取了进士。此时，王惠开始对荀玫进行百般拉拢，比荀玫要年长三十多岁，竟然还是荀玫为年长兄，一会是天作之合，一下又是同年弟兄，还为其找住所，总之就是要竭尽全力拉拢荀玫。
　　在王惠看来，荀玫年纪轻轻就考中了进士，又有周进、范进两位恩师照顾，将来前途必定不可限量。所以，王惠是放下身段，全力去拉拢荀玫，将来必定能通过荀玫这条人脉获得更多的利益。
　　而王惠是何许人也？就是一个为了搜刮民脂民膏费尽心思，具有超强敛财能力之徒。所谓近朱者赤，近墨者黑，王惠的言行必定会对荀玫产生一定的消极影响。
　　二、唆使荀玫躲避丁忧，助长其野心
　　殿试过后，荀玫就被授予了工部主事一职，之后又升为工部员外，没过多久，荀玫的老母亲逝世。第七回写到：
　　到晚，长班进来说：荀老爷家有人到。只见荀家家人挂着一身的孝，飞跑进来，磕了头，跪着禀道：家里老太太已于前月二十一日归天。荀员外听了这话哭倒在地。王员外扶了半日，救醒转来，就要到堂上递呈丁忧。
　　听到母亲大人逝世的消息，荀玫立刻哭倒在地，并且晕倒过去，真可谓伤心到了极点。醒来之后，就立马想到要去递呈丁忧，以便回老家为母亲大人守孝三年，以做一个儿子应尽的孝道。
　　可以说，此时的荀玫本性是非常好的，孝顺母亲，恪守孝道，准守礼制。然而，被王惠拉拢入伙之后，就凭王惠那副德性，只能带坏荀玫。第七回写到：
　　王员外道：年长兄，这事巨再商议。现今考选科、道在即，你我的资格，都是有指望的。若是报明了丁忧家去，再迟三年，如何了得？不如且将这事瞒下，候考选过了再处。王员外又道：快吩咐来的家人把孝服作速换了，这事不许通知外面人知道，明早我自有道理。
　　一听到荀玫母亲逝世了，按朝廷规定要丁忧，离职回老家为母亲守孝三年。王惠就开始唆使荀玫躲避丁忧，还给荀玫出些馊主意，教他隐瞒此事，又是吩咐荀家人把孝服换了。王惠真是无耻之极，硬生生的把荀玫带坏了。
　　受王惠言行的影响，荀玫的思想正悄悄的发生了转变。第八回写到：两位重托了金东崖去。到晚，荀员外自换了青衣小帽，悄悄去求周司业、范通政两位老师，求个保举，两位都说：可以酌量而行。
　　被王惠带坏后，荀玫为了功名利禄，还真想着如何能够躲避丁忧，开始四处去顺通关系。经过这一事，可以看出本性很好的荀玫已经受到王惠言行的影响，已经悄悄的发生改变。
　　三、施与荀玫上千两银子，打开其贪婪之门
　　荀玫被迫要回老家丁忧，这时的王惠依旧是百般拉拢讨好荀玫，表面上是给荀玫施与援手，实则打开了荀玫的贪婪之门。第八回写到：
　　王员外道：年长兄，你此番丧葬需费，你又是个寒士，如伺支持得来？况我看见你不喜里这烦剧的事，怎生是好？如今也罢，我也告一个假，同你回去，丧葬之费数百金，也在我家里替你应用，这事才好。
　　从王惠的这一番话可以看出，此时的荀玫还只是个小小的京官，法定俸禄少的可怜，加上为官清廉正直，所以还是个寒士。王惠也知道这一点，所以就要陪荀玫一起回家，帮他处理丁忧事宜，期间的所有费用由王惠一人承担。
　　毕竟王惠考中举人都已经二十多年了，再加上考中进士后做官的这几年，就凭他的品行德性，早已贪得了万贯家财。所以在荀玫的母亲葬礼上，也是花费巨大。第八回写到：
　　一同来家，替太夫人治丧，一连开了七日吊，司、道、府、县，都来吊纸。此时哄动薛家集，百十里路外的人，男男女女、都来看荀老爷家的丧事。整整闹了两个月，丧事已毕。王员外共借了上千两的银子与荀家，作辞回京。
　　为了将荀玫母亲的葬礼办的风风光光，特意将排场搞得非常大，各司、道、府、县都派了官员前来吊唁，薛家集上的人们更是为之轰动。最终是整整闹了两个月，花费了上千两的银子。
　　母亲大人的整个葬礼活动，为荀玫赚足了面子；足够大的排场让年纪轻轻的荀玫再一次感到了权力的滋味；银子大肆挥霍，也让作为寒士的荀玫尝到了挥霍金钱的味道。
　　经过母亲的葬礼，也让年纪轻轻的荀玫见到王惠的实力，随随便便就借了上千两的银子给自己。在对王惠感恩戴德的同时，王惠的一言一行必然会深刻影响荀玫的价值观，必定会向王惠看齐。
