　　何铁手，金庸笔下之小说人物，在《碧血剑》及《鹿鼎记》里出现，原为云南五毒教教主，后拜入华山派门下袁承志为师，由袁承志为其赐名为何惕守，有警惕别做坏事，严守规矩，正正派派之意。
　　《碧血剑》时，何铁手原为五毒教教主之女，从小为了练功割断左手装上一铁钩，后接掌教主之位，曾暗恋（新修版中并没有此节）女扮男装的夏青青。至《鹿鼎记》时曾出现赠送暗器含沙射影给韦小宝。何铁手情路坎坷而终身未婚。

　　心狠手辣的女子是个很有戏剧效果的典型，在金庸小说中不时出现，李莫愁是一个，在她之前还有《碧血剑》的五毒教主何铁手。这位女士是苗家女子，白衣赤足，恰似观音下凡，但娇媚入骨，又似天魔女降世，她软语呢声之中会猝然出手，制人于死命，而且右手是纤纤素手，左手却是黑沉沉的一个淬毒铁钩，对比之强烈，可谓无出其右了。
　　这位五毒教主最动人之处是说话温柔亲昵，她拿出软鞭与袁承志打斗，先婉转解释：袁相公，这叫做蝎尾鞭，刺上是有毒的，你要加意小心，好么？一语未了，劲招已出。她放毒砂，袁承志大怒，打还她三枚铜钱，她避了两枚，接住一技。叫道：啊哟，好大的劲儿，人家手也给你碰痛啦。她说话愈柔媚，便愈衬托出她手段厉害。

　　李莫愁是自负内向，完全被自己感情推动，但何铁手在轻松娇媚的外表之下，却是十分机智而懂得观察形势的一教之主。她唯一一件笑话是错以为温青青是男子，爱上了她。苗家女子据说是爱情至上，何铁手竟为青青叛教，倒戈相向，岂料随即得知青青是女儿身，令她又悔又愧，一时无地自容，效法埃及艳后以金蛇咬胸自杀，但被袁承志所救。她自杀不成，根本不浪费时间悲伤，已想到计策，就是逼袁承志收她为徒，这一来，她因破门出教而弄至无处投奔的问题便得到解决。说她机灵理智，是一点也不错的。这样在鬼门关滴溜溜一转，她浑若无事，也不见伤感，视青青完全如师娘，取笑袁承志，谈笑风生如旧。
　　改邪归正之后，何铁手易名惕守，未免酸溜溜，后来在《鹿鼎记》作昙花一现地重出，但只属余波，没有什么故事。
　　《笑傲江湖》里的五仙教主蓝凤凰与何铁手有一点相似，亦是与毒物为伍的娇媚女子，不过蓝凤凰全是正面人物，不像何铁手那么透着邪气的活色生香。
