　　香香公主是金庸老先生写过的众多美女中最美丽的一位，美如天仙的她曾经迷倒了清兵、乾隆以及陈家洛等人。香香公主独爱陈家洛，不会半点功夫的她为了爱人反清复明的大业不惜进入乾隆的后宫，为了给他通风报信自尽。
　　香香公主是金庸小说中的一名回族美女，父亲木卓伦是回族部落的首领，姐姐是霍青桐。金庸花了大量的笔墨描写香香公主的美，以不可方物来形容她，已经美得无以形容了。
　　香香公主作为金庸先生笔下最美的女孩，身穿白衣，美得无以伦比，天性单纯，温雅善良，像美玉一样纯洁，身体自带幽香，气质不凡。香香公主的肌肤白皙嫩滑，眼睛如水一样明亮澄澈，纤细的手像玉一样洁白无瑕，手指如葱一样细软。

　　香香公主原本过着简单无忧的生活，自从与陈家洛相遇，便与他相爱了。陈家洛的使命与香香公主的美貌注定了两人不能再一起。乾隆看上了她，为了恋人，她进入了皇宫，成为了乾隆的女人，在给陈家洛传递消息时自尽。
　　《书剑恩仇录》中的香香公主与《还珠格格》中的香妃有着太多的相似之处，不得不让人怀疑她们俩为同一个人。那么香香公主究竟是不是香妃呢？
　　两人的相似之处是都很美、有体香、跟乾隆皇帝有关。从体香上看，香香公主体香的描述为不是世间的花香，香气甜美幽雅；而香妃的体香沁人心脾，能够吸引蝴蝶和蜜蜂。从乾隆对她们的态度看，乾隆为香香公主搭了类似礼堂的回族风格的帐篷，安慰她的思乡之情；乾隆为了让香妃住得舒心，修建了宝月楼尽量不让她与其他人交流。
　　不过，香香公主与香妃也有不同之处。其一，香香公主比香妃更美。香妃的美貌自然是在乾隆的后宫中艳压群芳，但是香香公主是金庸着重描写的女子，称她的美无可比拟，尤其是在与陈家洛找寻父亲的那一段，从清兵的反应上可见她的美有多么惊艳。其二，香香公主和香妃的结局不一样。前者钟情于陈家洛，为了他而死；后者最后逃离了皇宫，得以与爱人厮守。

　　香香公主真的只能以童话中的形象来看待，她不像是一个现实中的人物。她明艳圣洁，像婴儿一般纯粹和自然健康，她完全没有遭遇过文明的侵蚀。她是真正的天真，不明白世事的太多复杂。在湖中裸浴，她不知道避人；遇到陈家洛这样的陌生人，她不知道有危险；对汉人的知识，她几乎是零；只为了陈家洛给她摘下雪莲花，她就能立即感动得落泪；她还有童话般的奇癖，爱吃花不爱吃肉；她口中说的事尽是牧羊、采花、觅草、看星，以及女孩子们游戏闹玩之事；她还像小女孩一样对小鹿说话。
　　香香公主有着最为女人性感的美貌，但她的心智却只是一个小姑娘的水平，实在是与陈家洛不在同一档次上。陈家洛爱上的不是一个真实的女人，而是爱上了一个水中月、镜中花，一个童话的幻影，一个男人们都会沉醉其中的白日梦。
