儒林外史鲍文卿和鲍延玺的故事分享

　　儒林外史鲍文卿的故事
　　鲍文卿乃是崔按察（负责上参失职官员）门下一戏子。按察夜读奏本，鲍文卿偶听到，毅然替素不相识被朋友连累的向知县求情，言之切切。这位老爷小的也不认识，但自从七八岁学戏，在师父手里念的就是他做的曲子，这老爷是个大才子，大名士，到现在二十多年了，才做得一个知县，好不可怜！今天又要因这事被参处了。他分析知县所为也是尊重读书人的本意。一番话竟使崔按察罢了参处的念头。并推荐鲍文卿拿信去县衙得谢回家过活。鲍文卿被向知县礼遇，谢恩，如待上人，这戏子断然不坐，不敢当。酒后知县封五百两银子谢他，鲍文卿一厘不受，怎敢用老爷们的俸银？唉，替人请命，堪称义举，不受人恩惠，可见清风，难道不是个大义不贪财的君子吗？在此小说中，崔老爷病故，文卿回家做生计，收修补乐器的倪老爹六儿倪廷玺为继子，教他读书管理戏班。路遇升任知府的向老爷，因感恩尊称他老友，约请父子两个半月内找他。
　　好事连连，船上遇大人两书办，极力奉承文卿，并请求恩人在向老爷面前替事人说几句好话求情，登时给银五百两。最喜文卿那几句话，说得又是一番大义。艺人文卿笑道：我要是欢喜银子，当年在安东县太老爷曾赏我五百两银子，我不敢受？我知道自己是个穷命，须是骨头里挣出来的钱才做得肉，我怎敢瞒着太老爷拿这项钱？况且人要有理（指犯事之人），肯定不会拿出几百两银子来做人情；要是准了这一边的人情，那一边就要受委屈，这不是丧了阴德？依我的意思，不但我不敢管，连二位老爹也不必管他。自古道：‘公门里好修行’，你们服侍太老爷，凡事不可坏了太老爷名声，也要各人保着自己的身家性命。
　　鲍文卿和鲍延玺的故事
　　来一段鲍文卿的对话。
　　晚上候别的客人睡着了，便悄向鲍文卿说：有件事，只求太爷批个准字，就可以送你二百两银子。又有件事，县里详上来，只求太爷驳下去，这件事竟可以送三百两。你鲍太爷在我们太老爷跟前恳个情罢！鲍文卿道：不瞒二位老爹说，我是个老戏子，乃下贱之人。蒙太老爷抬举叫到衙门里来，我是何等之人，敢在太老爷跟前说情？那两个书办道：鲍太爷，你疑惑我这话是说谎么？只要你肯说这情上岸先兑五百两银子与你鲍文卿笑道：我若是欢欢喜银子，当年在安东县曾赏过我五百两银子，我不敢受。自己知道是个穷命须是骨头里挣出来的钱才做得肉，我怎肯瞒着太老爷拿这项钱？况且他若有理，断不肯拿出几百两银子来寻人情。若是准了这一边的情，就要叫那边受屈，岂不丧了阴高？依我的意思，不但我不敢管，连二位老爹也不必管他。自古道，公门里好修行，你们伏侍太老爷，凡事不可坏了太老爷清名，也要各人保着自己的身家性命。几句说的两个书办毛骨悚然，一场没趣，扯了一个淡，罢了。
　　鲍文卿救了向知县，回家重操旧业做戏子，遇上修乐器的倪老爹，倪老爹生活穷苦，被迫买了四个孩子，眼下揭不开锅，鲍文卿主动提出买了他的小儿子，换名为鲍延玺。
　　之后又遇向知县，已高升。给鲍延玺做媒与管家小女儿。
　　邂逅相逢，旧交更添气色。
　　婚姻有分，子弟被恩光。
　　再后来，老婆难产死掉，鲍文卿也年老去世。
　　繁华富贵，享受不过片时。
　　潦倒催颓，波澜又兴多少。
　　再后来，鲍延玺被媒人坑，娶了一个母老虎（也是被骗）。母老虎起火攻心，需要吃药调理，需花费不少银子。
　　鲍老太原本就不喜欢被收养的鲍延玺，还有个女儿女婿，商量后把鲍延玺夫妻撵出家门。
　　忠厚子弟，成就了恶姻缘。
　　骨肉分张，又遇着亲兄弟。
　　走投无路的鲍延玺，在街上遇到了被哥哥派来寻他的小厮。哥哥混的不错，哥俩见面，哭了又哭，给弟弟买了个房子（还未交钱），后因事离开。
　　鲍延玺往苏州找哥哥，被告知哥哥发急病已经去世。
　　荣华富贵，依然一目成空。
　　奔走道途，又得无端聚会。
　　至此，鲍延玺的故事完。
