儒林外史中萧昊轩与萧云仙的主要事迹介绍

　　儒林外史中萧浩和萧采的主要事迹
　　《儒林外史》上榜五十五人中有三位武将，二甲中的萧采、汤奏和三甲中的木耐。汤奏在儒林人物中只算得上是中流（笔者愚见），先放一放；木耐不是主要人物，他的故事是套在郭孝子和萧采的故事中的，所以今天就说萧采。
　　说萧采要从其父萧浩说起。萧浩字昊轩，当年是与郭孝子齐名的武林高手，可惜我们没有机会见识其少侠英姿，因为在书中第一次出场时萧老先生已经六十开外了。
　　庄征君受礼部徐侍郎举荐，奉旨进京面君。路过兖州，遇孙守备解饷进京。其时孙有一同伴，五尺以上身材，六十外岁年纪，花白胡须，就是萧昊轩。萧虽一介武夫，却文雅不过，闻得眼前便是闻名天下的大名士庄绍光，极道倾倒之意。庄见萧气宇轩昂，不同流俗，也着实亲近。这一场文武英雄会在吴敬梓笔下十分简洁，然而十分精彩。
　　萧昊轩生平有一绝技，百步之内，用弹子击物，百发百中。孙邀其为庄演示，只见他把弹弓举起，向着空阔处先打一丸弹子，抛在空中；续将一丸弹子打去，恰好与那一丸子相遇，在半空里打得粉碎。武林中练这一门功夫的人大概不多，但想象一下萧老先生以六十高龄打弹弓的模样，真是可爱极了，是文人笔下的武林中人。次日未晓出发，便有响马劫道，萧昊轩手执弹弓，好象暴雨打荷叶的一般，打得贼人抱头鼠窜。
　　这一门弹子功似是萧家的家学。萧昊轩的儿子萧采，字云仙，也从乃父学了一手好弹子功，逐日苦练。两年后，凭此打瞎了食人恶僧的双眼，救了甘露僧的性命那恶僧便是前番被萧昊轩打散的响马贼头赵大，因此萧云仙此举亦是替乃父了结了一桩憾事。
　　郭孝子盛赞萧云仙扶危助困，更诤言相劝：长兄有这样品貌材艺，又有这般义气肝胆，正该出来替朝廷效力。将来到疆场，一刀一枪，博得个封妻荫子，也不枉了一个青史留名。一席话令萧云仙如云拨日，感谢不尽。
　　半年后便有松潘卫边告急。萧昊轩闻得是故交平少保督师征剿，便命萧云仙前往投军。萧云仙道：父亲年老，儿子不敢远离膝下。萧昊轩道：我虽年老，现在并无病痛，饭也吃得，觉也睡得，何必要你追随左右？你若是借口不肯前去，便是贪图安逸，在家恋着妻子，乃是不孝之子，从此你便不许再见我的面了！萧老先生厉害，萧云仙闭口无言，乖乖上路。
　　萧云仙半路上收编了郭孝子的徒弟木耐做亲随，同到松潘，投在少保帐下，冲锋陷阵，收复边城。少保班师回朝后，留萧云仙重筑青枫城，足足三四年才完成可见是座固城。然后出榜招流民定居，开垦荒地，兴修水利。萧云仙亲自指点百姓开渠，沟间有洫，洫间有遂，开得高高低低，仿佛江南的光景。
　　成功之日，萧云仙骑着马，带着木耐，在各处犒劳百姓。每到一处，杀牛宰马，祭拜先农，叩谢皇恩，使百姓团团坐下，萧云仙坐在中间，拔剑割肉，大碗斟酒，与民同饮同乐。吃完酒，萧云仙便向百姓道：‘我和你们众百姓，在此痛饮一天，也是缘法。而今上赖皇恩，下托你们众百姓的力，开垦了这许多田地，也是我姓萧的在这里一番。我如今亲自手种一棵柳树，你们众百姓每人也种一棵，或杂些桃花、杏花，亦可记着今日之事。萧云仙一连吃了几十日酒，共栽了几万棵柳树。
　　仓廪既实，萧云仙又欲使民知礼节。开了十个学堂，把百姓家的孩子养在学堂里读书。书读得好，萧云仙就和他分庭抗礼，以示优待于是百姓都知读书体面。
　　萧云仙在青枫边城这一番文治武功，用见证者沈先生（就是沈琼枝的父亲）的话来说，便是当今的班定远！然而经工部的老爷们核算下来，却得了个任意浮开的罪名，还说应请核减银七千五百二十五两有零，在于该员名下着追。萧云仙回乡见父，长跪不起：儿子不能挣得一丝半粟孝敬父亲，倒要破费了父亲的产业，实在不可自比于人，心里愧恨之极！已卧病在床的萧老先生一番回答可为天下父亲做表：这是朝廷功令，又不是你不肖花消掉了，何必气恼？我的产业攒凑拢来，大约还有七千金，你一总呈出，归公便了。萧老先生且留下为人以忠孝为本，其余都是末事的遗言，瞑目而逝。
　　萧云仙戍边卫城，作为堪比张骞、班超，而结局如此，难怪武书知道他的事迹后以李广作比，慨叹：飞将军数奇，古今来大概如此。但是萧云仙新任在江淮卫，得遇庄征君、虞博士、杜少卿一干贤士，其事迹虽限于资格不能载入史册，却能得几位大手笔撰述，各家文集里传留下去，也不埋没了半生忠悃，算是不幸中之幸吧。
　　《儒林外史》是文人小说，寄托着作者现实中的慷慨悲愤。前人说它摹绘世故人情，真如铸鼎象物，魑魅魍魉，毕现尺幅；而复以数贤人砥柱中流，振兴世教。堪当这砥柱中流者，文则庄征君、虞博士、杜少卿、迟衡山诸贤士，武则以萧氏父子为代表。洁身自好、不肯出仕的文士身上，寄托着物欲横流的世相中，具有批判精神的知识分子对现实的冷峻反思乃至反抗；戎马倥偬一生而不以数奇为恨事的武将身上，则体现着本色英雄以天下为己任、先忧后乐的忘我精神。这些，在任何时代，都是社会的砥柱中流，无论是有明一代的嘉靖年间，还是我们亲历着的现在。
　　萧氏父子，仗义行侠，扶危助困，精忠报国，荫泽后世，是儒林中的上品人物。
