儒林外史中庄绍光的人物形象及性格特点分析

　　儒林外史中庄绍光是怎样的人
　　庄绍光，名尚志，字绍光，人称庄征君，以字行于世。古典文学小说《儒林外史》中的人物，南京累世读书人，即书香门第。为书中的正面人物，乃真儒也。书中的庄绍光及杜少卿等人都有作者本人的影子及思想精神。悠然是庄绍光最大的特点。
　　他并不是逃避俗世，而是在俗世的纷纷扰扰中从容而成功地坚守着自己的人生境界。他受朝廷征辟时显然已经知道自己是难容于朝廷的，故而对妻子说你但放心，我就回来，断不为老莱子之妻所笑。庄征君面君，天子问政，正欲奏对，头顶一点钻心疼痛，着实难忍，只好恳请细思之后再为启奏。回到下处看时，头巾里一只蝎子。次日焚香卜筮，卦辞乃是天山遁。
　　庄征君知我道不行，把教养的事细细做了十策，又写了一道求赐还山的本，呈递上去。朝中权臣托人捎话，欲将其收在自己的门墙之下，但庄征君的婉拒之辞不卑不亢，并称世无孔子，不当在弟子之列。况太保公屡主礼闱，翰苑门生不知多少，何取晚生这一个野人？这就不敢领教了。太保碰了个软钉子，立即便以祖宗法度为词，使得皇帝准了庄征君的还山奏本。朝政这个局面，是庄征君意料之中的，所以辞得那样干脆。庄绍光的这种悠然，多少有一种杜少卿和虞博士中和起来的特点。
　　李巡抚要举荐杜少卿入京做官，杜少卿千方百计地推辞；虞博士虽然不是范进那一流为了举业而疯狂的群体，但他也并不拒绝读书考试做官的道路。庄绍光表示我们与山林隐逸不同，既然奉旨召我，君臣之礼是傲不得的，这就表示他并不是在恶劣的社会环境下仅仅安于独善其身的个人境界，元武湖只是由于我道不行而被动存在的一个桃花源，远不是他理想中的栖息之地。皇帝把元武湖（玄武湖）庄绍光赐给庄绍光著书立说，不会是庄绍光在理想深处的意愿而阻挡他实现人生抱负的并不仅仅是一个太保公。庄绍光的最大特征是悠然，这种悠然无法和俗世的喧嚣相容。所以尽管它表明自己和山林隐逸不同，但他又不得不隐居起来。
　　不同于虞育德的是，庄绍光对于之不同道不合的世俗小人和官僚是不欲一见的。当他从京师回到南京后，高大老爷、布政司、应天府、本城乡绅都争欲拜见，习惯于悠然独行的庄先生恼火中作速搬到湖上去受用，甚至最初虞育德前往拜见，都吃了闭门羹。也就是说，庄绍光接受举荐上京，是为了尽自己的责任，而当自己的道无法得到重用时，他就只有不甘地做隐士，尽管他否认这一点。
　　庄绍光的人物评价
　　在《儒林外史》中作为上上人物出现的是虞育德和庄绍光。他们甚至是杜少卿最推崇、最敬重的人。虞育德在书中被称为真儒，而且是当时唯一能用自己的言行去德化旁人的圣贤之徒。祭泰伯祠的大典就是由他主祭的。这个人虽有待人厚道的美德，却不大讲是非原则。
　　根据书中所描写的他的某些行为来判断，他身上明显地存在着封建社会世俗的中庸之道。庄绍光是杜少卿所师事的人，他确有不肯屈节于权贵，不爱同官场势利中人交往的一面；但他对君臣之礼却很看重，有人荐举他入京去见皇帝，他还是去了。只是到了京城后，感到我道不行，才又回到南京，著书立说，鼓吹休明。尽管他辞官不做，可是皇帝赐给他一座在玄武湖的别墅，他还是老实不客气地享受了。这种讲求文行出处的方式，对封建统治阶级又有什么害处呢？
