　　张静斋是怎样的人物形象分析
　　在胡屠户眼里，张静斋是方面大耳，是天上的星宿，有万贯家私，家里的银子比皇帝家还要多，是有脸面的人。张老爷来拜新贵范老爷，众乡邻都散去了，膀大腰圆的胡屠户也躲起来不敢出来。这说明封建社会，等级森严，一旦中举，便成为人上人，社会地位、经济地位迅速攀升。
　　从张静斋的表现看，范进中举前，他一向有失亲近。一见范进中举的题名录，他当天就来拉拢，开口世先生，闭口亲弟兄，竟然将八竿子打不着的范进称为如至亲骨肉一般，又送银子又送房子。目的是攀附范进宗师周学道和汤知县，来巩固和扩大自己的权势。作者轻轻的几笔勾勒，张静斋丑陋的形象便跃然纸上，封建社会的世态炎凉、人情冷暖便可见一斑。

　　一、趋炎附势
　　趋炎附势，指的是张静斋善于巴结攀附有权势的人。在原著中，从张静斋对范进和汤知县两人的言行就可略知一二。
　　在第三回写到：张乡绅先攀谈道：世先生同在桑梓，一向有失亲近你我年谊世好，就如至亲骨肉一般；若要如此，就是见外了！小弟却无以为敬，谨具贺仪五十两，世先生权且收看。弟有空房一所，就在东门大街上，三进三间，虽不轩敞，也还还净，就送与世先生
　　在范进没有中举之前，还是一个普普通通的贫民时，作为乡绅的张静斋绝对不会与范进有任何联系。然而，当范进中举之后，已经有做官的资格了，拥有了一定的社会地位，并且前途一片光明。面对此时的范进，张静斋开始竭尽全力的巴结范进。不仅在言语上全力讨好、称兄道弟，而且行动上更是送钱送房子。
　　张静斋之所以这样全力的巴结范进，目的就是为了利益。范进为南海县新中的举人，与张静斋是同乡。他作为南海县地界上新兴的一支势力，不论其往后发展如何，张静斋先行一步套近乎、巴结范进实为上上策。
　　巴结范进，不仅能够巩固张静斋自己在南海县的既得利益，还能搭上和利用范进的关系网，为自己谋取更多的利益。何乐而不为？
　　在第四回中写到：知县汤奉接了帖子，一个写世侄张师陆。一个写门生范进。自心里沉吟道：张世兄屡次来打秋风，甚是可厌；但这回同我新中的门生来见，不好回他。吩咐快请。
　　对于现任的汤知县，张静斋更是想方设法的攀附他。即使汤知县对于这个屡次来打秋风的张静斋非常的厌烦，但张静斋依然是掏空了心思去攀附他。就算是死皮赖脸，也在所不辞。
　　为了能跟汤知县搞好关系，又怕汤知县不见自己，张静斋特意拉上范进与他一起去见汤知县。汤知县也看在新中门生范进的面子上，还是接见了他俩。可以说，张静斋为了攀附汤知县，也是费尽了心机。
　　二、横行霸道
　　横行霸道，指的是张静斋行动蛮横、依仗权势为非作歹、鱼肉百姓。从原著中，张静斋对待僧官慧敏的行为和其巨额的财产便可看出其这一品行。
　　在第四回中写到：僧官道：只因城里张大房里想我屋后那一块田，又不肯出价钱，我几次回断了他也罢了！张家是甚么有意思的人？想起我前日这一番是非，那里是甚么流氓，就是他的佃户。商议定了，做鬼做神，来弄送我。不过要簸掉我几两银子，好把屋后那一块田卖给他
　　文中的张大房正是指张静斋，他看上了僧官慧敏屋后的一块田地，但是又不肯出价格，一心只想着如何霸占这块田地。所以慧敏就躲在城里的大寺里，很长时间都不敢出来。
　　为了得到那块地，张静斋也是想尽了办法，让他的佃户去纠缠诬陷慧敏，变着法子找慧敏麻烦。总之就是为了得到慧敏屋后的那块地，为了达到目的，无所不用其极。
　　然而事与愿违，被范进出来横插了一杠，最终使对慧敏的诬陷没有成功。但也可以料想到张静斋绝对不会就此善罢甘休的。
　　尽管张静斋很有钱，但还是一门心思想着如何去霸占有别人的土地；虽然是乡绅，他不会想着成为乡里的楷模表率，就只想如何去鱼肉百姓，确实是很让人厌恶。
　　在第三回中，从胡屠夫的口中可知：也罢，你如今结交了这个张老爷，何愁没有银了用？他家里的银子，比皇帝家还多哩！他家就是我卖肉的主顾，一年就是无事，肉也要用四五千斤，银子何足为奇。
　　范进中举后，张静斋随便一送都是五十两白银和一套三进三间的大房子，从胡屠户对张静斋家的描述，可以看出张静斋是家财万贯，非常的富有，家里的银子多的不得了。
　　而张静斋生活的明朝，一个知县的月俸禄只有7。5石大米，显而易见，法定的俸禄是非常低的。像张静斋这样只做了一任知县，就积累下了万贯家财，不仅仅是靠所谓的一点灰色收入就能做到的，大规模的依仗权势为非作歹、鱼肉百姓肯定是少不了。
